Enjoy your time with our Sicilian squadra (team) to guide you through a cultural immersion in Ortigia, a neighborhood of Siracusa. The program is in English; fun and applicable Italian lessons offered every morning for those who are interested.

You will be based Royal Hotel Maniace, with stunning views of Ortigia and the Mediterranean Sea. We will take one local excursion per day—including a day trip to Noto—or immerse ourselves in one local activity per day, e.g., a delicious day with Chef Anita at her family’s beautiful townhouse in Siracusa.

Private lunch and tasting at 1000-year-old winery.

Private screening of “Il Postino” followed by an interactive talk on the film.

Private tour through the Borgia family’s palace.

Italian Culture Jeopardy. “Todays categories are…Everything Italian!”

Visit Noto, the stunning city that was entirely rebuilt after an earthquake in the 17th century.

Cook/eat together at Chef Anita’s beautiful villa in Siracusa.

Aperitivo overlooking Ortigia’s port at sunset, so nice we do it twice!
